JOB DESCRIPTION
The work of a Mechanic shall consist of and include any and all phases of repair and maintenance of with the aid
of the employee's own tools and including the use of test equipment and Company supplied technical manuals,
including dismantling, repairing assembling, and erection of machinery and mechanical devices and the exchange
and replacement of electrical equipment or electrical components.
In certain cases he/she may be authorized to perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs.
Must hold an Airframe and/or Powerplant license and such other licenses as required by law.
Must at all times perform such tasks as are necessary to comply with the Federal Aviation Regulations and accept the
responsibility for work performed by himself/herself and/or in conjunction with others and sign for same on the
Company's approved forms.

Must hold a current Airframe and/or Powerplant certificate.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate and supervise all maintenance functions and personnel on
assigned shift. He/she will interact with all other maintenance personnel and departments to
uphold the standards, policies and procedures of the department. He/she will coordinate with the Purchasing
Department on AOG parts and reorder issues. The Maintenance Supervisor will Maintain facility related
duties such as cleanliness, proper use of equipment, Haz Mat, and ramp area safety and security procedures.
Also, he/she will assist in troubleshooting of aircraft via the telephone and walkie-talkies to mechanics
and Maintenance Control both at home base and in the outstations. Additional duties include coordinating
requests for "flybacks" on aircraft discrepancies, receiving reads and researching parts identity and locations.
The Maintenance Supervisor verifies stock availability in order to satisfy requisitions,
orders, and parts kits for applicable maintenance functions. He/she will perform inventory stocking,
reports of shortages, selecting or preparing bin locations and conducting cycle counts. The Maintenance
Supervisor shall convey or prepare orders for wrapping, packing and shipping as wells as preparing COMAT
shipments to Comair locations. He/she will identify, classify and handle all hazardous material shipments
in accordance with IATA and CFR regulations. Additionally, he/she will prepare, complete and maintain records
including work orders and/or TRAX forms as well as perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Prospective candidates must:
possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent.
hold a current Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
have a minimum 3 to 5 years previous aircraft maintenance experience (5-7 preferred).
have a minimum 2 to 5 years supervisory experience required. (Union experience preferred).
have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
have a Valid Driver's License.
be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Additionally, the prospective candidate must obtain Run/Taxi, RII, and/or Airworthiness Release as well as
IATA and CFR Certification within 90 days and maintained throughout the position assignment.
